Volunteer

The Morganville First Aid & Rescue Squad is always looking for new members!

If you are 16 or older and would like to join, please call us at (732) 591-1200 and leave a message, or email us at membership@morganvillefirstaid.org.

All that you need to volunteer is a desire to help people. No previous training or experience is necessary, and members come from all walks of life - from high schoolers to retirees, from homemakers to lawyers. Members stay for the fun and satisfaction we feel while serving the community and the friendships we cultivate with our colleagues.

There are several types of members:
  1. Active Members - experienced EMTs 18 years of age or older
  2. Probationary Members - newer members who are 18 or older and may not yet be certified EMTs
  3. Cadet Members - members who are 16-18 years of age
  4. Associate Members - members who can't volunteer 40 hours per month or help us in other areas

Members receive free training in CPR and first aid and Emergency Medical Technician classes if they choose to become full EMTs. Adult members are expected to volunteer 40 hours per month and cadets are expected to contribute 15 hours per month. Associate members may volunteer fewer hours, and you don't have to become an EMT - we have members who just drive our ambulances, for example. Marlboro Township recently started a childcare program where you can drop your children on the days you are scheduled to ride.

Schedules are very flexible and we will help you to volunteer when it is convenient for you. If you are 16 or older and would like to join, please call us at (732) 591-1200 and leave a message, or email us at membership@morganvillefirstaid.org. If you are 18 or older, you can save some time by having a membership application already filled out when we get back to you. If you are applying as a cadet we will give you a different application to fill out. We look forward to hearing from you!
